These terms govern use of the Owner Readiness Assessment at ownerreadinessassessment.com, operated by Cohagen Wilkinson Inc. ("we," "us").
The service
The Owner Readiness Assessment is a self-assessment tool that produces a scored profile of how a business depends on its owner, along with educational commentary. By taking the assessment you agree to these terms.
What the results are — and aren't
Results are generated from your own answers and are educational in nature. They are not: a business valuation or opinion of value; financial, investment, legal, or tax advice; a prediction of sale price, sale outcome, or business performance; or a substitute for professional advice tailored to your situation. Decisions you make based on the results are yours. If your situation involves a transaction, engage qualified advisors.
Accuracy of your answers
The instrument's usefulness depends on honest answers. We make no warranty about results derived from inaccurate inputs — and neither should you.
Your content and our license
You retain ownership of the information you submit. You grant us a license to process it to operate the service (scoring, report generation, delivery, and the sharing you initiate) and to use de-identified, aggregated data to improve the instrument.
Sharing
If you generate a share link, you are responsible for who you give it to. Partner-page disclosures (shown before you begin) describe what referring organizations receive.
Intellectual property
The assessment items, scoring methodology, report content, and site design are our intellectual property (or licensed to us). You may not copy, scrape, republish, or create derivative assessments from them without written permission. You may share and reproduce your own report freely.
Acceptable use
No automated access, no attempts to circumvent access controls, no submitting another person's information without authorization, no use of the service to build a competing instrument.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months — currently $0, as the assessment is free. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including business decisions made in reliance on results.
Indemnity
You'll indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, with venue in Lancaster County, Nebraska.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms (new date above; material changes notified) and may suspend access for violations. You can stop using the service and request data deletion at any time (see Privacy Policy).
